RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Quality Control Manager in Singapore to lead the QC team within a precision machining and manufacturing setting. You will drive inspection activities, review FAI, manage NCRs, and collaborate across Quality, Production and Engineering to ensure relentless quality.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Precision Engineering, 5+ years in QC, and hands-on CMM experience. Attractive salary with bonus and AWS in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of QC experience in CNC machining or precision engineering environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with CMM and precision inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality standards.
• Experience with NCR, root-cause analysis, 8D, 5-Why and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise QC Inspectors, including scheduling and training.
• Oversee CMM and precision measurement equipment usage.

• Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Production and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Monitor supplier quality and support supplier qualification and audits.

• Apply SPC, CpK, Gage R&R and FMEA to monitor processes.
• Mentor QC personnel and promote a strong quality culture.

Quality Control Manager

Our client is an established precision engineering and manufacturing company in Singapore , specialising in high-precision CNC machining and the production of complex machined components for demanding industrial applications. They are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager with a strong background in precision engineering and CNC machining to lead the QC function and ensure consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QC function within a precision machining and manufacturing environment.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure machined components meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Lead and supervise QC Inspectors, including daily work allocation, scheduling, training, and performance development.
• Oversee the use of CMM and precision measurement equipment for dimensional and geometric inspection.
• Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and support New Product Introduction (NPI) documentation for high-tolerance components.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and lead root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions using methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why.
• Work closely with Quality Engineers, Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and support the qualification of new suppliers/vendors.
• Lead and participate in supplier and external vendor audits where required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or relevant customer requirements.
• Drive the implementation and monitoring of quality control processes to maintain product consistency and reduce quality issues.
• Apply statistical and quality tools such as SPC, CpK, Gage R&R, and FMEA to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QC personnel and promote a strong quality culture within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QC experience within a CNC machining, precision engineering, or metal manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must have a strong Quality Control background within precision engineering. Candidates from a general QA background without relevant machining QC experience will not be considered.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, with advanced knowledge of GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of FAI, dimensional inspection, process control, and quality inspection methodologies.
• Practical knowledge of SPC, CpK, Gage R&R, and FMEA.
• Experienced in handling NCR, root-cause analysis, 8D, 5-Why, and CAPA.
• Experience in supplier quality management, vendor qualification, and supplier audits will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage QC personnel and work closely with cross-functional teams.
