Job summary

Thales invites applications for a material receiving and inspection role based at Changi, Singapore. The successful candidate will perform receiving inspection, packing, and shipping tasks, while acting as an authorized delegate for IFE and regulatory agencies when required.

You will handle documentation reviews from shippers and customers, maintain shipment records, and support warehouse activities. Proficiency with SAP and MS Office is expected; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience using measuring equipment (Height gauge, Vernier caliper, Smartscope).
• Ability to read design drawings (size tolerance or geometric tolerance).
• Basic SAP transactions knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Willing to support overtime occasionally on evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and mechanical inspection of materials against design drawings and process per procedures.
• Inspect LRUs, parts, components, cable, harnesses, sheet metal, assemblies, subassemblies, plastics and raw materials.
• Review documentation from shipping companies, suppliers and customers.
• Comply with Thales Quality Management System documents and management directions.
• Act as authorized delegate for IFE, its customers and regulatory agencies when requested.
• Reconcile Material Handling transactions and maintain shipment data for freight movements.
• Assist to fulfill material requirements for warehouse activities and create export documentation per US and local regulations.

Job description

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform duties related to Material Receiving, Receiving Inspection, and Shipping Inspection in accordance with IFE requirements. Additional responsibilities include becoming an authorized delegate for IFE customers or Regulatory agencies when requested, supporting the IFE related warehouse activities at the facilities they are authorized to work from which would involve, processing orders utilizing SAP, Inspection and Receiving, Packing, Shipping, Stocking material and other duties assigned by a team leader.

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual / mechanical inspection of materials in accordance with the design drawings and processthem in accordance with procedures.
• Inspect LRUs, parts, components, cable, harnesses, sheet metal, assemblies, subassemblies,plastic parts, mechanical, electromechanical parts, raw materials and shelf life items
• Review documentation from shipping companies, Suppliers, customers.
• Comply with the Thales Quality Management System process documents and forms as well as comply withmanagement directions.
• Act as an authorized delegate for IFE, IFE customers, Regulatory agencies when requested.
• Reconciliation of Material Handling transactions
• Maintain historical shipment data trafficking of freight movements, ensuring adherence with transit timecommitments and POD’s
• Assist to fulfill material requirements for warehouse activities
• Creation of export documentation in accordance and compliance with US and local regulations
• Development of continuous process improvement plans and initiatives as needed

Other Information:

• Working Location: Changi
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
• May be required to work in shifts when necessary.
• Company shuttle bus is available at designated MRT stations.
• Contract for 1 Year, Renewable based on business requirements
