Job summary

VIGAHS ENGINEERING SERVICES (S) PTE. LTD. invites graduate engineers to join our inspection and maintenance team in Singapore. You will review inspection histories, plan scoping work, and supervise on-stream and downtime inspections for process piping and equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in refinery/Oil & Gas, knowledge of welding inspection, isometrics, and materials, and can read drawings. Fluent English and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineers with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Refinery and Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of welding inspection, structural fabrication, piping isometrics and materials.
• Ability to work in Singapore and other countries.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English.

Responsibilities

• Review the inspection history to summarize the integrity status of plant equipment and piping systems.
• Plan and carry out fixed equipment/piping inspection via on-stream RBI programs and downtime inspection activities.
• Identify areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection points, CUP, CUI).
• Supervision and coordination of on-stream and shutdown inspections for static equipment and in-service piping.
• Review ITP, WPS and method statements for in-service repair work of piping and pressure vessels.
• Witness PT, MPI, PMI, metallographic tests and hydrostatic tests for statutory equipment.
• Provide recommendations and timely updates on equipment degradation problems.
• Quality assurance on project construction and maintenance to meet codes and standards.
• Prepare final inspection reports with findings and recommendations.

Job Description & Requirements

Review the inspection history to summarizethe integrity status of the plant equipment and piping systems.

• Perform the scoping work and prepare thejob pack for process piping and in-service equipment based on engineeringassessment and annual inspection plan.
• Plan and carry out fixed equipment/pipinginspection via on-stream risk-based monitoring programs and downtime inspectionactivities including corrosion under Insulation (CUI) and corrosion under pipesupport (CUP) on process piping and equipment according to annual maintenanceplan
• Identifying the areas of special concernand deterioration (e.g. Dead legs, injection points, mix points, corrosionunder insulation and Low silicon Inspection).
• Supervision and coordination of allon-stream and shutdown inspection and activities for static equipment andin-service process piping.
• Review of inspection test plan, WPS andmethod statement for any in-service repair work of piping and pressure vessels.
• Witnessing of PT, MPI, PMI,metallographic tube testing and Hydro static test for statutory equipment.
• Provide recommendations and timelyupdates on equipment degradation problems.
• Provide quality assurance on projectconstruction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with applicable codes,standards and specifications.
• Preparation of final inspection reportswith all findings, abnormalities and recommendations.
• Ensure quality of inspected items to meetproject requirements and standards.
• Inservice inspections in refineries / Oiland Gas / Petrochemical industries, such as corrosion under pipe support(CUPS), corrosion under insulation (CUI), Injection & Mix pointsinspections.
• Read, understand project related ITP,procedures, specification requirements.
• Review documents and drawings as perspecification - Knowledge / experience about Piping Isometrics, P & ID,general arrangement drawings, Structural drawings, Weld Maps, welding symbols,Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures, Base Materials, and weldingconsumables.
• Inspection, review of mill certificates,Material verification, Inspection of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, valves, nipples,plate tubes as per respective materials specifications, Codes, Standards & Client Specifications. Inspection / Witness & Review Stage wise activitiesearlier stage of spool fabrication
• Knowledge in welding inspection

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate Engineers with 3-6 years ofrelevant experience.
• Relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma inMechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering areacceptable.
• Experience in Refinery and Oil & Gasmust
• Knowledge/experience in weldinginspection, structural fabrication, piping Isometric drawing and pipingmaterials.
• Work Independently and can work inSingapore and other countries.
• Fluent Reading, Speaking and Writing inEnglish.
• Willing to commit 24 months contract/project completion.
