Job summary

Sun Marine Engineering PTE. LTD. seeks a Graduate Engineer to lead inspection activities for plant equipment and piping, reviewing history and planning scopes for in-service systems.

You will oversee on-stream and shutdown inspections, ensure QA on construction and maintenance, and coordinate with teams across refinery and petrochemical projects. Required are 3–6 years of relevant experience, a mechanical or petrochemical engineering degree, and strong knowledge of welding inspection, piping

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in refinery and oil & gas environments is required.
• Knowledge in welding inspection, piping isometrics, and associated drawings.
• Ability to work independently and in Singapore and other countries.
• Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English.
• Willing to commit 24 months to project completion.
• Team oriented with meticulous, proactive work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection history to summarize integrity status of plant equipment and piping.
• Perform scoping work and prepare the job pack for piping and in-service equipment.
• Plan and carry out fixed equipment/piping inspection via risk-based monitoring programs.
• Identify areas of concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection/mix points, CUI, CUP).
• Supervise on-stream and shutdown inspection for static equipment and piping.
• Review ITP, WPS and method statements for in-service repairs.
• Witness PT, MPI, PMI, metallographic testing and hydrostatic tests.
• Provide recommendations and updates on equipment degradation.
• Ensure QA on project construction and maintenance to meet codes and standards.
• Prepare final inspection reports with findings and recommendations.

Review the inspection history to summarizethe integrity status of the plant equipment and piping systems.

• Perform the scoping work and prepare thejob pack for process piping and in-service equipment based on engineeringassessment and annual inspection plan.
• Plan and carry out fixed equipment/pipinginspection via on-stream risk-based monitoring programs and downtime inspectionactivities including corrosion under Insulation (CUI) and corrosion under pipesupport (CUP) on process piping and equipment according to annual maintenanceplan
• Identifying the areas of special concernand deterioration (e.g. Dead legs, injection points, mix points, corrosionunder insulation and Low silicon Inspection).
• Supervision and coordination of allon-stream and shutdown inspection and activities for static equipment andin-service process piping.
• Review of inspection test plan, WPS andmethod statement for any in-service repair work of piping and pressure vessels.
• Witnessing of PT, MPI, PMI,metallographic tube testing and Hydro static test for statutory equipment.
• Provide recommendations and timelyupdates on equipment degradation problems.
• Provide quality assurance on projectconstruction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with applicable codes,standards and specifications.
• Preparation of final inspection reportswith all findings, abnormalities and recommendations.
• Ensure quality of inspected items to meetproject requirements and standards.
• Inservice inspections in refineries / Oiland Gas / Petrochemical industries, such as corrosion under pipe support(CUPS), corrosion under insulation (CUI), Injection & Mix pointsinspections.
• Read, understand project related ITP,procedures, specification requirements.
• Review documents and drawings as perspecification - Knowledge / experience about Piping Isometrics, P & ID,general arrangement drawings, Structural drawings, Weld Maps, welding symbols,Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures, Base Materials, and weldingconsumables.
• Inspection, review of mill certificates,Material verification, Inspection of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, valves, nipples,plate tubes as per respective materials specifications, Codes, Standards & Client Specifications. Inspection / Witness & Review Stage wise activitiesearlier stage of spool fabrication
• Knowledge in welding inspection

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate Engineers with 3-6 years ofrelevant experience.
• Relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma inMechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering areacceptable.
• Experience in Refinery and Oil & Gasmust
• Knowledge/experience in weldinginspection, structural fabrication, piping Isometric drawing and pipingmaterials.
• Work Independently and can work inSingapore and other countries.
• Fluent Reading, Speaking and Writing inEnglish.
• Willing to commit 24 months contract/project completion.
