Job summary

A-STAR OFFSHORE PTE. LTD. seeks engineers with 3–6 years of relevant experience to lead in-service and shutdown inspections of refinery and oil & gas process piping.

The role requires knowledge of welding inspection, piping isometrics, P&ID, and structural fabrication, with independent work capability in Singapore and other locations. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, and be fluent in

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma is required in the listed disciplines.
• Experience in refinery and oil & gas environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of welding inspection and piping isometrics is essential.
• Ability to work independently and in teams across locations.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection history to assess equipment integrity status.
• Plan and execute fixed equipment and piping inspection under risk-based programs.
• Manage downtime inspections including CUI and CUP on piping and equipment.
• Supervise on-stream and shutdown inspection activities for static equipment and piping.
• Review ITPs, WPS, and method statements for in-service repairs.
• Witness and participate in PT, MPI, PMI, metallography tests, and hydrostatic tests.

Review theinspection history to summarizethe integrity status of the plant equipment andpiping systems.

• Perform thescoping work and prepare thejob pack for process piping and in-serviceequipment based on engineeringassessment and annual inspection plan.
• Plan andcarry out fixed equipment/pipinginspection via on-stream risk-based monitoringprograms and downtime inspectionactivities including corrosion under Insulation(CUI) and corrosion under pipesupport (CUP) on process piping and equipmentaccording to annual maintenanceplan
• Identifyingthe areas of special concernand deterioration (e.g. Dead legs, injectionpoints, mix points, corrosionunder insulation and Low silicon Inspection).
• Supervisionand coordination of allon-stream and shutdown inspection and activities forstatic equipment andin-service process piping.
• Review ofinspection test plan, WPS andmethod statement for any in-service repair work ofpiping and pressure vessels.
• Witnessingof PT, MPI, PMI,metallographic tube testing and Hydro static test for statutoryequipment.
• Providerecommendations and timelyupdates on equipment degradation problems.
• Providequality assurance on projectconstruction and maintenance works to ensurecompliance with applicable codes,standards and specifications.
• Preparationof final inspection reportswith all findings, abnormalities andrecommendations.
• Ensurequality of inspected items to meetproject requirements and standards.
• Inserviceinspections in refineries / Oiland Gas / Petrochemical industries, such ascorrosion under pipe support(CUPS), corrosion under insulation (CUI), Injection& Mix pointsinspections.
• Read,understand project related ITP,procedures, specification requirements.
• Reviewdocuments and drawings as perspecification Knowledge / experience aboutPiping Isometrics, P & ID,general arrangement drawings, Structuraldrawings, Weld Maps, welding symbols,Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures,Base Materials, and weldingconsumables.
• Inspection,review of mill certificates,Material verification, Inspection of Pipes,Fittings, Flanges, valves, nipples,plate tubes as per respective materialsspecifications, Codes, Standards &Client Specifications. Inspection /Witness & Review Stage wise activitiesearlier stage of spool fabrication
• Knowledgein welding inspection

EligibilityCriteria

• GraduateEngineers with 3-6 years ofrelevant experience.
• RelevantEngineering Degree or Diploma inMechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemicalor Industrial Engineering areacceptable.
• Experiencein Refinery and Oil & Gasmust
• Knowledge/experience in weldinginspection, structural fabrication, pipingIsometric drawing and pipingmaterials.
• WorkIndependently and can work inSingapore and other countries.
• FluentReading, Speaking and Writing inEnglish.
• Willing tocommit 24 months contract/project completion.
