Job summary

GD PRECISION PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA Inspector to interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T for quality inspection in our precision engineering environment. You will work with CMMs and traditional gauges to verify parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include performing incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections, maintaining the CMM and inspection room, calibrating instruments, and producing inspection reports using MS Office. Overtime including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• ITC/Higher NITEC in QA or precision engineering required.
• At least 2 years of relevant manufacturing/precision industry experience.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T for quality inspections.
• Operate measuring tools including Zeiss CMM, calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Ensure in-process quality meets work instructions and specs.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections; maintain the CMM and inspection room.
• Inspect parts for cosmetic appearance and dimensional accuracy.
• Calibrate and log measurements of measuring instruments.
• Prepare inspection reports and utilize MS Office for documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings (mechanical)for the quality inspection requirements which includes basic geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T).

• Able to use various types of measuring equipment including CMM like caliper, micrometers , pin gauges & Thread gauges.
• Hands on knowledge of CMM ( Zeiss ), capable in CMM programming is a plus.
• Ensure in-process quality meets the specification and requirement stipulated in the work instructions or procedure
• Require to perform incoming, in-process inspection &, outgoing inspection usingCMM. Maintenance of CMM and Inspection Room.
• Perform inspection of parts as specified including cosmetic appearance.
• Perform calibration and recording for Measuring Instruments.
• Capable of preparing Inspection Report. Familiar with Microsoft office software.
• Any other jobs as assigned.

Job Requirement

• ITC/Higher NITEC in QA or manufacturing related areas (Precision Engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing and precision industry (prefer adly in metal machining).
• Ability to muti-task, willing to work overtime (including week end).
• Strong team player and able to work independently.
