Job summary

JI SHENG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a QA/QC specialist for welding fabrication projects.

You will prepare project quality plans, inspection test plans, and welding procedure specifications, and conduct welder qualification tests. You will perform stage-wise inspections (material, fit-up, visual, bolt tightening, painting), review and witness UT and MPI testing, and ensure QA/QC controls are maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding quality control and fabrication QA/QC.
• Ability to review and witness NDT such as UT and MPI.
• Strong documentation skills for certificates, test results and NCRs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality plans and inspection test plans per specs.
• Prepare welding procedure specifications and conduct welder qualification tests.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections for fabrication and erection works.
• Review and witness NDT like ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing.
• Maintain internal QA/QC controls at all times.
• Coordinate with production and site management to deliver quality.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation for materials, certificates, tests.

Job description

• Prepares the project quality plans and inspection test plans according to project specifications
• Prepares welding procedure specification and conduct welder qualification tests
• Prepares quality control procedures and repairs procedures for welding
• Conducts stage wise inspections like material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting for fabrication and erection works
• Review and witness the non-destructive testing like ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing
• To ensure internal quality controls are in place and being maintained properly
• Work closely with other project personnel such as production and site management team in order to deliver high quality works together
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures delivered to the yard
• Proper QA/QC documentation for all materials delivered to the factory, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC document
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
