Job summary

Gan Teck Kar Investments Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to monitor production areas, perform microbiological analyses, and ensure ISO 22000 compliance across operations. You will maintain documentation, coordinate with laboratories, and support audits to uphold product safety and quality.

The role involves collaborating with R&D on shelf-life testing, driving corrective actions, and ensuring timely communication with regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Microbiology or similar discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role or microbiological laboratory, preferably in food industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 22000 Food Management System, GMP, GLP and ICP.
• Positive attitude, analytical mindset, willingness to learn, team player, initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual will have an added advantage.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect production areas according to ISO 22000 and customer requirements; report rectifications.
• Maintain and update documentation and records for ISO 22000; act as Food Safety Team Member.
• Perform outgoing goods inspection.
• Conduct physical and microbiological analysis for finished foods and environmental monitoring.
• Collaborate with R&D for shelf-life testing and trend analysis when required.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratory on sample submission as needed.
• Highlight abnormalities, review and investigate as required.
• Prepare Certificate of Analysis when required.
• Ensure upkeep of laboratory consumables and cleanliness.
• Verify cleaning chemical concentrations.
• Investigate customer complaints and prepare corrective action reports.
• Coordinate and support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
• Act as Qualified Personnel (QP) for food export processes and liaise with authorities (SFA, HPB).
• Perform assigned tasks to achieve company and department goals; handle ad-hoc duties as needed.

• Monitor and inspect production areas according to ISO 22000 and customer requirements, feedback to relevant departments on any rectification required.

• Maintain and update documentations, records for ISO 22000 and act as a Food Safety Team Member.

• Perform outgoing goods inspection.

• Conduct physical, microbiological analysis for finished food products and environmental monitoring of facility and personnel.

• Work with R&D chef for shelf-life testing and conduct trend analysis when required.

• Coordinate with third-party laboratory on sample submission where required.

• Highlight any abnormalities detected during analysis, review and investigate as required.

• Prepare Certificate of Analysis where required.

• Upkeep of laboratory consumables and cleanliness.

• Responsible for verification of cleaning chemical concentration.

• Conduct customer complaint investigation and prepare corrective action report where required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Microbiology or similar discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role / Microbiological Laboratory preferably from the food industry.

• Knowledge in ISO 22000 Food Management System, GMP, GLP and ICP.
