You will drive customer complaint investigations, supplier audits, and certification activities, reporting to the General Manager. Requires 5+ years in engineering/QA/QC and hands-on leadership.

This is a leadership role responsible for technical support, QC/QA management, supplier quality, customer complaint resolution, engineering change control, product certification and internal workflow improvement. The Senior Technical Engineer will lead the Technical Department and work closely with all departments to ensure technical, quality, and process requirements are properly controlled. The role reports directly to the General Manager and Managing Director.
Lead and manage engineers and QC/QA personnel, plan, organize, and improve the Technical and QC/QA functions
Provide product and application-related technical support to internal and external customers
Develop, maintain, and improve QC/QA processes, inspection plans and quality standards
Manage, track and catalogue engineering changes for every SKU and maintain clear visibility of product engineering changes, drawing revisions and technical specification updates
Review internal department workflows and identify loopholes, weak controls and failure points
Establish and maintain supplier QC/QA requirements and conduct supplier audits, surveillance checks and supplier qualification assessments
Put in place a supplier control-of-change process for critical materials, tooling and processes
Establish and manage a structured customer complaint handling process and lead technical investigations and root cause analysis
Obtain and maintain product certifications required by target markets and coordinate with testing laboratories and certification bodies
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, QA/QC, supplier quality, manufacturing or technical support experience
Experience leading engineers, technical staff or QC/QA personnel is preferred
Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, inspection methods, supplier quality control and engineering change control
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, inspection reports and test reports
Experience with supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action follow-up
Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
Highly organized, hands-on, proactive and able to follow through until issues are closed
Experience in dealing with QA QC in manufacturing industry, defining specs for QC to do inspection, attending to customer complaints and aligning problems with supplier side
