YAMATO ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance activities on complex plant projects in Singapore.

You will develop and implement quality control systems, establish ITPs, and manage all QA/QC documentation from certificates to NCRs. You will review welding procedures, NDT methods, calibration records and internal QC processes, ensuring compliance across ASME/API/ISO standards. Qualifications

• CSWIP Welding Inspector certificate is required.
• 5+ years of QA/QC engineering experience with construction/plant projects.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO standards and welding procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings, and review ITPs, QMs and test records.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement quality control systems for projects.
• Establish QA/QC program and ITPs for projects and ensure documentation is complete.
• Manage QA/QC documents including certificates, calibration, test results, NCRs and site observations.
• Review contractor quality manuals, welding procedures, NDT procedures and qualification records.
• Witness hydro and pneumatic tests, perform inspections, and prepare inspection reports.

Description du poste

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing quality control systems.
• Establish quality program and project Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for projects.
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
• Perform incoming material inspection and prepare quality inspection report.
• Inspectingand testing materials, equipment, process and products to ensure quality specification are met.
• Conduct the Line check as per P&ID, ISO Drawings & Issue the Punch list.
• Document review, final line check, issue punch list for piping packages and Witness the hydro testing and pneumatic testing.
• Conduct the system walk down asper markup system boundaries.
• Issue the punch list for during walk down registered.
• Conduct the painting and insulation inspection.
• Witnessing the punch list rectifications.
• Compile the complete QC documents and submit to Client.
• Review of contractor's quality manual, inspection test plan, shop drawings, welding procedure specifications, welding procedure qualification records (WPS &PQR), welder performance certificates, NDT procedures, qualification of NDT personnel, work instructions, repair method statement etc.
• Perform fit-up inspection and monitor all stages of welding.
• Witness non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT) & liquid penetrant testing (PT) performed by NDT companies.
• Perform visual inspection on surface preparation before painting.
• Issue inspector's release notice for completed structures.
• Prepare of inspection reports.
• Preparation and Implementation of the thickness & Hydro test Calculations, Welder qualification certificates, Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection Test plan (ITP) as per Specification, codes and client requirement.
• Monitor the Project Schedules, NDT Percentage, Review the PWHT Chart & Calibration Certificates.
• Inspection of welding consumables as per ASME Sec-II Part-C and ensuring the Proper Storage and Handling of Welding Consumables.
• Structural welding inspection, Dimensional verification, material and Consumable Traceability.
• Supervise and monitor the field QC inspectors for visual inspection, NDT Requirements and NCR follow-up.
• Implement QA/QC procedures for process plant construction.
• Conduct inspections for:
  • Piping installation and welding
  • Equipment installation and alignment

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering preferred. Related disciplines may be considered
• Working knowledge of welding procedures and NDT techniques will be an added advantage
• Experience with quality testing machines and systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• At least 5years of relevant working experience as QA/QC engineer.
• Must have CSWIP Welding Inspector Certificate Proficiency.
• Familiar with ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.8, B16.5, B16.47, ASME sec V, DNV, ASME sec VIII div 1, ASME sec IX, API 570, API 571, API 574 & API 1104 & AWS D1.1, BS5950, ISO 5817.
• Handson experience in NDT - UT, MT, PT, RT and Radiographic interpretation
• Knowledge in measuring devices (Vernier caliper, internal and external micrometer, ring groove ball gauge, Brinell hardness tester, depth gauge, wall thickness gauge)
