Job summary

Trust Recruit Pte Ltd is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to define and drive the automation roadmap, building scalable frameworks for desktop and web apps. The role emphasizes strong automation testing practices, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering and at least 3 years in software quality assurance with hands-on automation testing using Playwright, Selenium, TestComplete, and CI/CD tools

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications
• Implement best practices for automation testing, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability of test scripts
• Review, optimize, and enhance existing automated test suites to improve reliability and coverage
• Continuously improve automation testing processes, introducing new tools and methodologies as necessary
• Execute and analyse automated tests, providing detailed reports on test results and defect tracking
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes
• Manage and maintain test environments and related tools
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members as automation adoption expands
• Support the team in improving overall testing practices across both manual and automated efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing
• QA Expertise: Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes, familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools
• Experience with desktop automation tools (e.g., TestComplete or equivalent)
• Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Playwright or Selenium)
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Cloud, Docker containers & DevOps pipelines is a plus
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other programming languages used for automation (e.g. Java, C#) used for test automation
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
