Job summary

NTS COMPONENTS SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a Purchasing / Operations leader to drive team performance, ensure material readiness, and coordinate cross-functional plans for optimized production input. You will manage supplier commitments, reschedule as needed, and lead efforts to improve PO processes and ERP usage.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder management, calm execution under pressure, and a hands-on approach to aligning purchasing actions with production priorities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain operations.
• Experience leading a small team preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, PO management, and supplier follow-up.
• ERP proficiency (Navision or equivalent).
• Experience in HMHV / HMLV manufacturing advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Purchasing / Operational Buying team.
• Allocate supplier and commodity responsibilities.
• Develop team capability in PO management, supplier communication, and escalation.
• Establish standard work and follow-up cadence for buyers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and workload balancing.
• Translate MRP output into actionable purchase requirements with Material Planners.
• Ensure material readiness for production windows and validate supplier commitments.
• Own supplier PO confirmation, rescheduling, and expediting discipline.
• Track delivery commitments and elevate chronic under-performance.
• Drive OTD improvement with suppliers and support supplier segmentation.
• Chair or co-chair shortage review meetings and develop recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Master Planner, Material Planner, Production Planning Manager, and Engineering.
• Improve PO management workflows and Navision usage; contribute to dashboards.
