YONG LEE PLUMBING&SANITARY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage the full purchasing cycle for plumbing and sanitary materials and to work closely with the project team, suppliers and store to ensure timely, on-spec delivery within budget.

You will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, review drawings and specifications, and maintain delivery reports and supplier records to support project progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Purchasing/Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in plumbing and sanitary, M&E or the building and construction industry.
• Familiar with plumbing and sanitary materials, including pipe types, sizes, fittings and common brands.
• Knowledge of PUB requirements for water fittings and sanitary works will be an advantage.
• Ability to read basic plumbing and sanitary drawings and specifications will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus.
• Good communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Handle the full purchasing process for plumbing and sanitary materials, including sourcing, requesting quotations, issuing purchase orders (POs), expediting and tracking deliveries.
• Purchase materials such as pipes and fittings (uPVC, HDPE, PPR, copper, stainless steel, cast iron/ductile iron), valves, water tanks, pumps, sanitary wares and fittings, floor traps, gratings and pipe supports.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BQ and approved material submissions to confirm correct items, brands, sizes and quantities before purchasing.
• Ensure purchased water fittings and sanitary products meet project specifications and PUB requirements (e.g. WELS labelling) where applicable.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, compare quotations, and negotiate prices, lead times and payment terms in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site supervisors and store to plan material requirements according to project schedules and site progress.
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery status and update the project team promptly on any delays or shortages.
• Prepare and maintain delivery reports, purchase records and supplier database.
• Track material costs against project budgets and support monthly cost reporting.
• Verify delivery orders and invoices against POs, and assist with returns, replacements and claims where necessary.
• Perform proper documentation and filing of all purchasing records.
• Perform other ad-hoc purchasing duties as assigned.
