Job summary

Blue Totem Communications in Singapore is hiring a Public Relations Account Executive with a strong grounding in PR, influencer and social media work. You will join a close-knit team and work with international brands, regional businesses and startups across Southeast Asia.

You will support and lead local, regional and international campaigns across sectors, spanning B2B and B2C accounts. You must be comfortable moving between corporate and consumer work and bring ideas for authentic creator

Qualifications

• At least six months of PR agency, corporate communications or editorial experience.
• Strong interest in the creator landscape; follows creators and knows what content works.
• Exposure to influencer marketing or social media work is a plus (from any setting).
• Creative mind with ideas for campaigns and content.
• Comfortable on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Experience with B2B and B2C accounts.
• Strong written and spoken English; Bahasa Melayu or Mandarin is a plus.
• Working knowledge of media relations or drive to build it.
• Experience with AI tools is a plus.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail; can manage several accounts and deadlines.

Blue Totem is an independent PR and communications agency. We were founded in 2016 and have offices in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. We work with technology, corporate, financial services, consumer and healthcare clients.

Our work covers media relations, reputation management, thought leadership, influencer marketing and social content. Our clients range from global companies entering the region to local businesses building their profile.

The Role

You will support and lead local, regional and international campaigns across sectors. You will work on both B2B and B2C accounts, so you must be comfortable moving between corporate and consumer work.

One of the key qualities we are looking for is someone who is deeply into the creator landscape and enjoys working with influencers on creative campaigns. You follow creators closely, you know what content works on each platform, and you have ideas for how brands can work with creators in ways that feel natural to their audiences.

• Collaborate effectively and harmoniously with colleagues and teams to ensure seamless execution of PR work and campaigns.
• Offer valuable counsel and guidance to clients, building strong relationships with key contacts.
• Coordinate and oversee regional projects in collaboration with agency teams across Asia and beyond.
• Produce compelling written materials, from press releases to bylines to media pitches, showcasing your exceptional writing and editing skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least six months of experience in a PR agency, corporate communications or an editorial role. Relevant internship experience counts.
• A strong personal interest in the creator landscape. You follow creators, know which platforms matter and notice what content works.
• Exposure to influencer marketing or social media work is a plus. This can come from a job, an internship, a school project or your own content.
• A creative mind and ideas for campaigns and content.
• Comfortable on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Comfortable working on both B2B and B2C accounts.
• Strong written and spoken English. You write clearly and edit carefully. Bahasa Melayu or Mandarin is a plus.
• Working knowledge of media relations, or a clear drive to build it.
• Experience with generative AI tools is a plus.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail. Able to manage several accounts and deadlines at once.
• A positive, professional manner and real care for colleagues and clients.
• Diploma or degree in any discipline.
• Follows current affairs, internet culture, technology trends and changes in consumer behaviour.
