Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help maintain critical mechanical equipment and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. You will plan and execute maintenance programs and work closely with engineers and contractors to deliver reliable operations.

The role involves troubleshooting on-site, planning tenders for maintenance, replacements and upgrades, and managing contracts to meet objectives within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities on mechanical equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions on site and develop corrective action plans.
• Plan, design and call tenders related to mechanical equipment for maintenance, replacement, upgrading and capex projects.

• Effectively manage mechanical equipment assets and spare parts inventory using the Asset Management System (AMS) implemented by PUB.

[What the role is]

As a Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following :

[What you will be working on]

• Plan and execute maintenance activities on mechanical equipment to ensure its reliability in meeting operational requirements, and compliance with relevant statutory requirements
• Troubleshoot any equipment and system malfunctions on site, and develop effective corrective action plans.
• Plan, design and call tenders related to mechanical equipment for equipment maintenance, replacement, upgrading, and system enhancement capex projects
• Manage and implement contracts related to mechanical equipment to ensure works performed by contractors are executed according to objectives and within budget
• Effectively manage mechanical equipment assets and spare parts inventory using the Asset Management System (AMS) implemented by PUB.

During the course of the work, you may be required to work closely with departments, consultants and contractors.
