Job summary

National University Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Psychologist to provide psychological therapies and psychometric assessments under supervision. The role includes conducting diagnostic interviews, formulating treatment plans, and implementing interventions for common psychiatric and medical conditions.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to research projects, and develop clinical materials while maintaining high standards of care and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master of Psychology. Preferred specializations: Clinical, Child, Health, Educational, Neuropsychology.
• Masters level graduates, with relevant work/ internship experience prior to / during Master’s training.

Job Description:

A Psychologist provides an array of psychological services, encompassing both psychological therapies as well as psychometric assessments, for patients with psychological conditions / psychological co-morbidities. The Psychologist works under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for the following:

• To establish competence in conducting routine psychometric assessments competently, and generate coherent reports assimilating assessment findings with understanding of psychopathology. To communicate findings effectively to the referral source.
• To conduct diagnostic interviews and arrive at a clinical diagnosis for common psychiatric / medical conditions.
• To formulate treatment plans and implement simple psychological interventions, both in individual as well as group formats, for all the common psychiatric conditions.
• To contribute to the development of material, e.g. for clinical intervention protocols, or for structured group therapy.
• To acquire skills in communicating and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• To seek clinical supervision to improve clinical competency.
• To contribute to team level operational tasks, as well as participate in research projects as a member of the research team.

Job Requirements:

Qualification:

Experience:

• Clinical skills (Diagnostic, Assessments, Psychotherapy), with adequate hours of supervised practicum to meet registration requirement with the with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, within the first year of work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competent in IT skills.
