Job summary

TMVC SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work with General Practitioners and healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based psychological treatment for adults, children and adolescents across diverse settings in Singapore.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual, group, and family therapy, maintain confidential records, and contribute to wellness initiatives, crisis intervention, and education programmes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with practical training.
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital or clinical experience.
• Experience with adults, children and adolescents.
• Fully registered and/or eligible for registration with professional bodies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

The Clinical Psychologist will work collaboratively with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals within the organization to assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based psychological treatment and support for adults, children, and adolescents experiencing a range of psychological, emotional, behavioral, and developmental conditions. The role includes conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and supporting holistic wellbeing wellness initiatives across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including clinical interviews, behavioral assessments, psychological testing, and formal/informal assessments.
• Diagnose and evaluate psychological, emotional, behavioral, and developmental conditions across the lifespan.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and therapeutic processes.
• Provide individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and counselling for patients with psychological and emotional wellbeing concerns, including mood and anxiety-related conditions.
• Conduct psychological evaluations and prepare psychometric reports.
• Select and implement appropriate psychological treatment approaches, including determining the frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
• Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Communicate with and counsel family members and caregivers where appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Work collaboratively with General Practitioners, children's doctors, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in implementing clinical workflows, best practices, quality improvement initiatives, and timely case management.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of psychological aspects of Lifestyle Medicine and holistic wellness services.
• Participate in educational programmes, medical governance meetings, talks, and workshops as required.
• Develop, organize, and manage psychological wellbeing-related training and educational materials for social media and community outreach platforms.

About you

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with practical training.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Experience working with adults, children, and adolescents in schools, hospitals, or private practice settings.
• Fully registered and/or eligible for registration with recognized professional psychological bodies, such as the Singapore Psychological Society.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural settings.
• Embraces innovation in psychological healthcare and clinical practice.
• Ability to maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical documentation.

This is a 12-months contract position, subject to extension based on operational needs.
