Job summary

The Growing Academy Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Child Psychologist (locum/sessional) to diagnose developmental conditions in children and provide comprehensive reporting for school placement.

The role emphasizes expertise in neuro-divergence, and collaboration with families to determine best educational options. Responsibilities include administering cognitive and adaptive assessments, creating detailed reports, and delivering parent training and interventions tailored to each child’s needs

Qualifications

• Masters in Psychology required; SPS registration preferred.
• Extensive experience in Child Psychology, with emphasis on neuro-divergence.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose children's developmental conditions and provide formal reports.
• Conduct IQ and adaptive tests and prepare enrolment reports for Special Education schools.
• Advise parents on school options and educational paths for neurodivergent needs.
• Provide psychological/behavioural interventions and parent training.
• Assist with exemptions or accommodations for language learning challenges when needed.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide a formal diagnosis of children's developmental conditions e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc. through a written report
• Conduct IQ and adaptive tests, and provide reports for enrolment in Special Education schools
• Help recommend parents on school options
• Assess and intervene for anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, etc. (for clinical psychologist)
• Provide exemption of second language or accommodation for children with learning challenges, where needed
• Recommend parents on the educational path of a child with neurodiverse needs
• Provide psychological/ behavioural intervention
• Provide parent training to parents of children with developmental needs on topics such as emotional regulation, behavioural management, etc.

Requirements

• SPS Registered
• Masters in Psychology
• Has extensive experience in the field of Child Psychology, esp. in the area of neuro-divergence

Salary - Locum/Sessional : A percentage of the revenue brought in to the clinic by their practice (therapy & assessments)
