Job summary

Chubb Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Risk and Underwriting Assistant to perform on-site risk assessments and support underwriting for residential properties. You will evaluate hazards, advise on risk improvements, and prepare risk assessment reports in line with Chubb’s guidelines.

The role supports the Personal Risk Services team by identifying hazards and supplying underwriters with essential information to pursue coverages; administrative duties may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site risk surveys for residential properties, including landed homes and high value residences
• Assess the replacement cost of homes by adhering to accepted valuation methods
• Assess potential risk or catastrophe exposures and review the security and fire protection relative to the insurance coverages
• Keeping abreast of current building costs, changes to security/fire protection, construction techniques/materials, loss trends and undertake research projects as required
• Assess the adequacy of the client’s insurance coverages and supply the underwriter with sufficient information to pursue these coverages
• Provide risk management recommendations aligned with Chubb’s underwriting and appraisal guidelines
• Prepare risk assessment reports in accordance with Chubb’s underwriting and appraisal guidelines
• Any other services or deliverables as instructed by Chubb, including administrative duties
