Job summary

Chubb European Group Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Risk and Underwriting Assistant to conduct on-site home appraisal surveys, assess property condition, occupancy, and security, and support underwriting guidelines.

You will identify hazards, provide risk management recommendations, prepare risk assessment reports, and assist with complex cases, ensuring comprehensive information for underwriters and aligning with Chubb’s appraisal standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site risk surveys for residential properties, including landed homes and high value residences
• Assess the replacement cost of homes by adhering to accepted valuation methods
• Assess potential risk or catastrophe exposures and review the security and fire protection relative to the insurance coverages
• Keeping abreast of current building costs, changes to security/fire protection, construction techniques/materials, loss trends and undertake research projects as required
• Assess the adequacy of the client’s insurance coverages and supply the underwriter with sufficient information to pursue these coverages
• Provide risk management recommendations aligned with Chubb’s underwriting and appraisal guidelines
• Prepare risk assessment reports in accordance with Chubb’s underwriting and appraisal guidelines
• Any other services or deliverables as instructed by Chubb, including administrative duties
