Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore seeks a Project Technician/Engineer (Marine) to support all project stages from concept through plant commissioning. You will plan, direct and execute project activities, coordinating with vendors and engineers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires an ITE qualification in Electronics/Mechatronics/Electrical/Communication/Marine and 2–3 years of engineering experience. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary, with in-house training and hands-on field

Responsibilities

• Involve in all stages of projects and not limited to concept, schematic design, detail design, documentation to constructions.
• Able to plan, direct and executive Project Activities.
• Handles overall planning & implementation of projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Participates in production, service, installation, FAT, SAT, HAT, Field construction, Plant commissioning, Sea Trials and Inspection of supplied products.
• Review vendors documents and to coordinate works between vendors and different discipline engineers within the organization.
• Requisition equipment and materials.
• Perform technical evaluation of installation control and design interface documents of equipment to ensure successful implementation of designs.
• May act as Technical Consultant in specific areas of expertise.
• Able to work independently, take initiatives and willing to work overtime and on weekends.
• Conducts OJT In House Training for Technicians and authorise dealers.
• Ability to maintain good project documentation and is familiar with ISO documentation requirements such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work Application requirements and procedures.
• Test & verify deliveries in accordance with plans and procedures.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Managers.

Requirements
