Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to deliver end-to-end TMaaS projects across SAF & RSAF, overseeing delivery, stakeholder management, system implementation, cybersecurity, cloud operations and vendor management. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management or Engineering and about 5 years’ experience in a related field; defence or government project experience is a plus.

Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering end-to-end TMaaS projects across SAF & RSAF. The role oversees project delivery, stakeholder management, system implementation, cybersecurity compliance, cloud operations, vendor management, and continuous service improvements to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of software development and digital transformation projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop project plans, milestones and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and customers.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings and drive resolution of project issues and risks.
  • Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, including government agencies, military organisations and enterprise clients.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Gather business requirements and translate operational needs into functional specifications.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training and production deployment.
  • Manage external vendors, subcontractors and technology partners.
  • Evaluate technical proposals and participate in tender evaluations.
  • Negotiate contracts, Statements of Work (SOW), quotations and change requests.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contractual obligations.
  • Manage project budgets, CAPEX and OPEX expenditure.
  • Track project financial performance and forecast project costs.
  • Support business case preparation and project approval processes.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost optimisation.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferably with 5 years’ working experience in a relevant industry
Skills
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Display understanding and appreciation of technology and use cases
  • Ability to work independently and with othersexperience in defence, military, or government projects is a plus
