Job summary

MARCO POLO SHIPYARD PTE. LTD. invites an experienced Project Manager to lead shipyard projects from Batam, Indonesia.

You will monitor progress, coordinate daily site operations, supervise vendors, and ensure contract deliverables meet schedule and quality targets. The role requires a naval architecture or marine engineering background with 5+ years in shipyard project management, strong English, and willingness to base in Batam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Naval Architect or marine engineering or similar qualification.
• At least 5 years working experience as shipyard project manager.
• Possess knowledge of newbuilding project.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferable.
• MS Office.
• Required to base in Batam, Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Project Progress: Track milestones and progress against the schedule to ensure strict adherence to contractual delivery dates.
• Site Coordination: Direct and coordinate daily on-site operations and logistics.
• Vendor Management: Supervise and manage all suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors involved in the project.
• Contract Administration: Oversee contract compliance, scope management, and commercial deliverables.
• Client Relations: Serve as the primary focal point and liaison for the customer regarding project status and requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the project team in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving all technical issues
• Site Command: Act as the Chief in Command for major site operations, serving as the final decision-maker for all onsite activities and personnel
