Job summary

Sembcorp in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer/Engineering Manager to lead a team of project engineers on renewable energy and gas-related projects. You will coordinate construction activities, manage safety, quality and schedules, and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in engineering and about 5 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of MS Office and scheduling tools. Travel to sites across Singapore and overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in related industry.
• Experience in energy related engineering management and project management is an added advantage.
• Experience in renewable energy or gas related projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project/Primavera

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Engineers to manage & coordinate the implementation of construction activities for renewable energy or gas related projects.
• Plan and monitor progress of authority submissions to ensure critical path of project is met.
• Manage key stakeholders & takes accountability for the successful implementation of project, from safety, quality and schedule standpoint.
• Create master construction schedule for developments and projects with identification of critical / mandatory activities.
• Ensure project completion targets are met. Report misses and develop catch-up-plan.
• Ensure system, documentation, tracking & checklists and good practices are adhered to.
• Drive efficiency by eliminating waste and non-value add tasks to improve productivity.
• Resource management and make the necessary recommendations to support project timelines.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Engineers to manage & coordinate the implementation of construction activities for renewable energy or gas related projects

• Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to all regulatory and authority requirement.

• Analyze data, derive trends, pareto, actions to close gaps, perform RCA and provide management reporting

• Identify resource constraints and make the necessary recommendations to support project timelines. Provide recommendation to integrate resources, activities and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan

• Comprehensive understanding of design principles of renewable energy systems or gas related systems with experience working in the industry

• Comprehensive understanding of installation and testing & commissioning of renewable energy systems or gas related systems.

• Has extensive knowledge of electrical design and specification of high-tension and low-tension electrical systems.

• Support and participate in tenders & tender interviews
