Job summary

Hitachi Aqua-Tech Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end water and wastewater treatment projects.

You will coordinate technical, commercial and contractual work, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will oversee engineering deliverables, monitor changes, and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Water treatment and wastewater knowledge preferred.
• Experience in heavy industries (Oil & Gas FPSO/Power Plant) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contract laws.
• Team leadership and good communication in English.
• Willing to travel overseas frequently.
• 8 years or more in project management.

Job Description:

• Project execution for water and wastewater treatment system projects: desalination plants, sewage treatment plant, industrial water and wastewater treatment plant
• Coordination of all technical, commercial and contractual activities on assigned projects
• Manage project schedules, forecasting and customer relationship
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned project engineering work; coordination and checking of engineering deliverables
• Manage project status reports and change orders
• Monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices
• Accountable for the successful completion of projects management and engineering
• Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants
• Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied
• Coordinating, monitoring and controlling of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process
• Establish and control project budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts and project financial performance
• Ensure identified risks are assessed and suitable controls are implemented during project execution
• Support project HSE and quality planning, audits, inspections and corrective-action closure
• Complete commercial and contractual close-out and capture lessons learned for future projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering
• Candidates with knowledge of water treatment, wastewater, environmental engineering is preferred
• Good understanding heavy industries (Oil & Gas industry/ FPSO / Power Plant) requirement will be preferred
• Good understanding of Contract Laws
• Team Player and able to lead the team
• Good in verbal and written communication skills in English
• General computer knowledge is essential (MS Word, Excel, Power point, Project, MS outlook)
• Willing and able to travel overseas frequently
• 8 years or more in project management
