Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. is supporting a top global investment bank in Singapore, overseeing technology project delivery to regions including China and Taiwan.

The role requires coordinating a diverse team of PMs, developers, and technical staff to meet business requirements on time and within budget. Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years in project management, 2–3 years in Banking Technology, and hands-on payments application implementations or migrations, with PMP/PRINCE2 preferred.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of project management experience, with 2–3 years in Banking Technology.
• Payments application implementation or migration experience.
• Regulatory initiatives or payments/clearing project experience is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

We are looking to hire a Project Manager to support our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank. The incumbent will be overseeing the delivery of technology projects in regions including China / Taiwan, ensuring business requirements are met and completed on time, within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and issues.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, developers, and other technical staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement best practices for software development and project management.
• Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints. Track expenses and report on budget performance.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and partners as necessary. Manage contracts and ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes. Implement lessons learned and best practices from previous projects.
• Work with the Global Agile and DevOps teams to ensure that successful delivery of APAC Regional Solutions.
• Articulate the business and technical value of solutions and products to senior managers and technical decision makers.
• Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
• Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams and multiple timezones.
• Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule.
• Supports resource planning for delivery and execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years within the Banking Technology sector.
• Must possess payments application implementation or migration project experience
• Experience in past regulatory initiatives or payments / clearing project will be an advantage
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions.
• Good knowledge and working experience with Agile software development methodology.
• Ability and experience to lead projects with direct reports on special initiatives.
• Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Entail regular interaction with global initiative technology managers and team leads.
