Job summary

Hydroleap is a Singapore-based deep tech startup transforming wastewater treatment. The Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver complex water and wastewater projects on schedule and within budget, coordinating internal disciplines and external contractors.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage resources, track budgets, ensure technical accuracy, and maintain client relationships to secure future work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater treatment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP is preferred.
  • Experience with MS Projects or Primavera.
  • Driver's license class 3 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of the project from conceptual planning through final plans and specifications.
  • Provides administrative and technical management over more than one water resource, water treatment, or wastewater project.
  • Responsible for establishing and reviewing budgets and schedules to meet targets.
  • Periodically review project schedule and progress.
  • Maintain relationship with the client after project completion to secure future work.
  • Coordinate multiple assignments and supervise staff.
  • Manage technical staff and resolve technical issues with engineering/ops teams.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and proper documentation on reports and designs.
  • Work with technical and business development for project reviews and management as needed.
  • Track financials and adjust efforts to fit the schedule.

Who we are looking for

The role of the Project Manager is to plan,executeandfinalizea project according to an established project schedule/forecast with a strict deadline and within budget. You willbe responsible foran managing and delivering successful projects in the water/wastewater business. You will interact internally throughout the organization with all levels of disciplines as well as externally with clients. This includesacquiringresources and coordinating the efforts of team members and 3rdparty contractors or consultantsin order todeliver projects according to plan.Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

What you will be doing
  • Assistwith the execution of the project from conceptual planning phases through final plans and specifications.

  • Provides administrative and technical management over more than one water resource, water treatment, or wastewater project.

  • Responsible forestablishingperiodically reviewing time and hour budgets and meeting those budgets on the projects.

  • Periodically review projectscheduleand progress on the projects.

  • Maintains continuedrelationshipwith the client after the project is finished to ensuresecuringfuture work the client may have and project opportunities.

  • Supervises or coordinates several varied assignments simultaneously.

  • Manage technical staff.

  • Evaluate alternatives,work with the engineering and operational team to resolvetechnical issues, and interface with other disciplines.

  • Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion ofappropriate documentationon various reports and design projects.

  • Work with technical and business development for project reviews andthe companymanagement as needed.

  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-to schedule.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstratedproficiencyinproblem-solvingand risk management.

  • Experience indecision-making,identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving complexproblems.

  • Demonstrated successful experience inprojectleadership.

  • Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal disciplines,contractorsand vendors.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineeringrequired.

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment with thorough knowledge of methods, techniques, principles, and practices of water/wastewater treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability in report and technical writing.

  • Self-starter with the ability to lead and manage team members and projects.

  • The background will ideally include project work and process knowledge of site work, hydraulics, pipeline, and water/wastewater treatment.

  • Project Management Profession (PMP) is preferred.

  • Strong PC skills withproficiencyin word processing, spreadsheet, database, and the ability tooptimizethe use of technology and systems to communicate, manage budget andto streamlineprocesses, and increase efficiency.

  • Proficiencyin Project Management tools like MS Projects, Primavera or similar

  • Preferablewith a valid driver’s licenseofclass 3.
