Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Management Team Lead in Singapore to steer a portfolio of projects, coach a team of Project Managers, and ensure safe, on-time, and profitable delivery that meets customer expectations.

You will partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to strengthen governance, drive performance, and implement continuous improvement across the project organization, while supporting growth and value creation for the market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience leading project teams and managing complex project portfolios within engineering, energy, industrial, infrastructure, automation, or related sectors
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, risk management, contract management, and financial controls
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
• Strong commercial and business acumen with experience driving operational performance and profitability
• Experience managing customer relationships and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed, and multicultural organization
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and project professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and high performance
• Manage and oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful execution, resource optimization, risk management, and achievement of business objectives
• Drive project delivery excellence by ensuring projects are completed according to contractual commitments, quality standards, budget targets, and planned schedules
• Establish and maintain effective project governance, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices
• Monitor project performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement lessons learned to strengthen execution capabilities and operational efficiency
• Partner with business stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation activities
• Support revenue growth by building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to commercial success within the market
• Oversee financial performance across the project portfolio, including profitability, cash flow, forecasting accuracy, and risk mitigation
• Ensure effective contract, claims, procurement, and commercial management practices are consistently applied throughout project execution
• Serve as an escalation point for complex project and customer issues, driving timely resolution and fostering long-term customer satisfaction
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable growth aligned with Hitachi Energy's strategy and values
