A marine machinery company in Singapore is seeking a skilled professional to manage project coordination and customer interactions. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related fields and strong coordination skills. The role involves liaising with customers, coordinating with engineering teams, and traveling as required. Successful candidates will gain exposure to international marine projects and receive competitive remuneration based on experience.
Acknowledge customer orders and create Sales Orders and Job Cards in the company system
Coordinate with the Engineering Department to follow up on design progress and drawings
Liaise directly with customers to provide regular project progress updates
Maintain and update IPT, production schedules, and delivery timelines
Conduct production floor visits to monitor fabrication and assembly progress
Follow up with suppliers on ordered parts, components, and delivery status
Arrange and coordinate third-party inspections, testing, and Class approvals (DNV, ABS, BV, etc.)
Support project execution from order confirmation through delivery and commissioning
Travel locally and overseas for project coordination, inspections, or meetings when required
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
Experience in marine, offshore, heavy equipment, or manufacturing industry is an advantage
Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working between office, workshop, and production floor
Willing to travel as required
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Microsoft Business system experience is a plus
Exposure to international marine & offshore projects
Hands-on involvement with engineering, production, and class societies
