Project Engineer: Submissions & Documentation Lead

Job summary

Responsibilities include weekly/monthly progress reporting, attending meetings with Client and subcontractors, maintaining trackers, coordinating with site teams, monitoring progress and ensuring timely approvals. Strong English, report writing and site-experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, renovation, fit-out or M&E projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of project submissions and construction documentation.
• Able to prepare professional reports and communicate directly with Clients and Consultants.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
• Able to work independently and follow up closely on submissions and deadlines.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Site experience and knowledge of Singapore construction procedures will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and submit all required project documents, including: Material Submissions, Method Statements, Shop Drawings / Technical Submissions, RFI (Request for Information), Inspection Requests, Testing & Commissioning Reports, Progress Reports, As-Built Drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals, Handover Documents.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submission to the Client and management.
• Attend project meetings with Client, Consultants, Main Contractor and subcontractors, and prepare/follow up on meeting matters.
• Maintain submission trackers and ensure all submissions, approvals and outstanding items are properly monitored and closed.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the necessary technical information and supporting documents.
• Monitor site progress and update work schedules, manpower status and project progress.
• Prepare progress photographs, site records and supporting documentation for Client reporting.
• Follow up on Client/Consultant comments and coordinate revisions and resubmissions until approval is obtained.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, authority requirements and project handover documentation.
• Ensure proper filing and document control throughout the project.
