Job summary

Cylect Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, engineering and execution of HVAC, chilled-water and energy projects.

You will perform calculations for cooling loads, pump flow and head, pipe sizing and system capacity, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure quality, safety and timely delivery. Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant project experience.
• Good knowledge of HVAC and chilled-water systems (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, piping, valves).
• Able to perform engineering calculations independently.
• Able to read and interpret P&IDs, drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, energy audits, or ESCO projects is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD or similar software is advantageous.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the planning, engineering and execution of mechanical, HVAC, chilled-water and energy-related projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing and technical evaluations, including cooling loads, pump flow and head, pipe sizing, pressure drop and system capacity.
• Carry out energy-related calculations, such as energy consumption, system efficiency and potential energy savings.
• Review drawings, specifications, equipment data and technical submissions.
• Conduct site surveys and verify actual site conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure works are completed according to project, quality and safety requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant project experience.
• Good knowledge of HVAC and chilled-water systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, piping and valves.
• Able to perform engineering calculations independently.
• Able to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, energy audits, energy-saving calculations or ESCO projects will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD or relevant engineering software is advantageous.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
