Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Diploma holders may be considered with 5 years in the Navy or 3 years in the shipbuilding industry.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform Dynamic Positioning (DP) software installation, commissioning and testing onboard vessels.
• Participate in installation and commissioning activities, including Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT).
• Travel internationally for onboard commissioning and project assignments, approximately 120 days per year.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and vessel operations.
• Support preparation and execution of Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Prepare project documentation, including system design documents, test procedures and commissioning documentation.

The Job

Dynamic Positioning Software - Commissioning

• Perform Dynamic Positioning (DP) software installation, commissioning and testing onboard vessels.
• Participate in installation and commissioning activities, including Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT).
• Travel internationally for onboard commissioning and project assignments, approximately 120 days per year.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and vessel operations.

Dynamic Positioning Software - Engineering

• Support the preparation and execution of Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Prepare project documentation, including system design documents, test procedures and commissioning documentation.
• Participate in internal and external project meetings with engineering teams, customers and other stakeholders.

Project & Customer Coordination

• Collaborate with technical specialists across the Head Office to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and effective project execution.
• Act as a key liaison between customers and the Head Office on pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance and system operations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related field
• Diploma holders may also be considered with either:
  • 5 years of experience in the Navy
  • 3 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming would be an advantage.
