Job summary

KONGSBERG MARITIME PTE. LTD. seeks project engineers for Dynamic Positioning software deliveries. The role blends office software tasks with worldwide vessel travel, requiring independence and adaptability to meet complex commissioning milestones.

DP systems enable vessel position maintenance at sea, supporting offshore wind transitions. Candidates should have strong English, relevant engineering degrees, and a willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in cybernetics, control engineering, marine technology, electronics, instrumentation or computer science.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Knowledge of C/C++ programming is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Dynamic positioning software commissioning on board vessels.
Participation in installation and commissioning including CAT (Customer Acceptance Test).
Extensive commissioning of DP software systems worldwide (approx. 120 travel days per year).
Dynamic positioning software engineering in office.
Prepare for and participate in IAT (Internal Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Production of project documentation, i.e. design documents and procedures.
Participation in meetings, internal and external.
Maintain open communication with Head office to drive improvements and innovative approaches.
Liaison between customers and main office on pre-commissioning/commissioning, maintenance and operation of systems.
