Job summary

Universal (Far East) Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support planning, coordination and technical reviews for engineering projects in Singapore. You will liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure timelines, budgets and quality meet requirements.

You will review drawings and specifications, monitor progress, report risks, and assist in procurement activities. The role may require working outside normal hours to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and project risks.
• Experience in managing engineering projects, contractors, suppliers, or cross-functional teams advantageous.
• Willing to work outside normal office hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables; align with client requirements and business goals.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and work plans using project management tools to track progress and timely completion.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for engineering quality and compliance.
• Provide technical input to the design process and address engineering challenges with design teams.
• Monitor site progress with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including status reports and meeting minutes.
• Support procurement by reviewing material specifications and participating in vendor evaluations.
• Support project managers by evaluating design changes and their impacts on schedules and budgets.
