Job summary

ByteBridge is seeking a Project Engineer – Data Center (Electrical / MEP) to support end-to-end delivery of data center fit-out projects. You will coordinate LV distribution, UPS, PDU, busway and other MEP systems, review drawings, and ensure field execution meets project specs.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or related engineering, 3+ years in electrical/MEP project engineering, and hands-on data center experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in end-to-end delivery of data center fit-out projects.
• Coordinate electrical and MEP installation works with consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, material submissions, and method statements.
• Coordinate LV distribution, UPS, PDU/RPP, busway, grounding/earthing, and power infrastructure.
• Coordinate with MEP disciplines to resolve interface issues.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities to meet schedules.
• Identify issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Support QA/QC inspections, ITPs, testing & commissioning, punch-list closure, handover.
• Ensure works comply with EHS requirements and data center operating requirements.
• Maintain project documentation including progress reports and redline drawings.

Project Engineer – Data Center (Electrical / MEP)

About the Role ByteBridge is looking for a Project Engineer – Data Center (Electrical / MEP) to support the delivery of data center fit-out projects. The role will be responsible for coordinating electrical and MEP works, technical submissions, site execution, testing & commissioning, and project handover. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering / MEP background with experience working on data center or other mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the end-to-end delivery of data center fit-out projects.
• Coordinate electrical and MEP installation works with consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, material submissions, and method statements.
• Coordinate electrical systems including LV distribution, UPS, PDU/RPP, busway, grounding/earthing, cable containment, and associated power infrastructure.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, controls/BMS and other MEP disciplines to resolve interface issues.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress, workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities to meet project schedules.
• Identify technical and site issues and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
• Support QA/QC inspections, ITPs, testing & commissioning, punch-list closure, and final handover.
• Ensure works comply with project EHS requirements, quality standards, and data center operating requirements.
• Maintain project documentation including progress reports, inspection records, test reports, redline/as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
• Attend project, technical, coordination, and site meetings as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, MEP Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical/MEP project engineering, construction, or fit-out projects.
• Strong preference for candidates with data center or mission-critical facility experience.
• Good understanding of electrical distribution and MEP systems within a data center environment.
• Able to read and coordinate MEP drawings, electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), layouts, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with technical/material submissions, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, inspections, and testing & commissioning.
• Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Strong site coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an active construction and data center environment.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with experience in data center fit-out, MEP contractors, electrical contractors, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale commercial/industrial projects are preferred.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems, MEP coordination, QA/QC, testing & commissioning, and data center project delivery will be highly advantageous.
