Job summary

COMMTECH ASIA (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer/Commissioning Engineer to deliver projects and work closely with the commissioning team on site. Senior candidates may be considered for Senior Commissioning Engineer/Assistant Commissioning Manager roles.

The role requires hands-on testing and commissioning, coordination of site progress, and strong communication with clients and vendors. On-site work in Singapore with multi-disciplinary exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Mechanical or Building Services may be considered.
• Ability to work on-site in Singapore and have the right to work.
• Hands-on knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Managers in ensuring successful project delivery.
• Undertake testing and commissioning from factory tests to integrated systems tests.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate site meetings.
• Attend site meetings and address technical queries from clients.
• Review and track vendor responses and method statements.
• Witness contractor testing and commissioning results and confirm compliance.
• Handle project administration and documentation tasks.
• Support HS&E compliance through PPE use and hazard reporting.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to be responsible for project delivery and work closely with the commissioning team in site operations. The role supports project progression, ensuring expectations, procedures, and deadlines are met. More senior candidates will be considered asSenior Commissioning Engineer/ Assistant Commissioning Manager.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Managers in ensuring the successful implementation of projects.
• Undertake all testing and commissioning activities from factory tests to integrated systems tests in the final stage of projects.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate site meetings.
• Attend site meetings and address technical queries from clients.
• Review and track vendor responses and method statements.
• Witness contractor testing and commissioning results and confirm compliance.
• Handle project administration and documentation tasks.
• Support HS&E compliance through PPE use, hazard reporting, documentation assistance, and safe work practices.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but will consider Mechanical and Building Services Engineering or related discipline in engineering
• Have the right to work in Singapore
• Comfortable to work on-site
• Relevant working experience in MEP systems, building services coordination and/or testing & commissioning process with multi-national corporate exposure
• Hands-on knowledge of PC applications such as MSOffice, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit
• Good command of written and spoken English and detail oriented
• Reliable and proactive working attitude not afraid to make decisions
• Self-motivated and believe in continuous improvement
• Can manage their time effectively, drive results, building trust and positive partnerships
