OMEGA 365 SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a competent Mechanical & Piping Engineer to ensure flawless field execution of mechanical systems for major power stations in Hong Kong.

The role requires hands-on site leadership, strong coordination with sub-contractors and adherence to safety and project specs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of on-site experience in mechanical and piping construction within oil & gas or petrochemical sectors, with familiarity of ASME/API codes and HK safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on site experience in mechanical and piping construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or related process industries.
  • Experience on natural gas projects (pipelines, meter stations, terminals, processing facilities) preferred.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing, heavy equipment handling, and interface management.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong safety regulations advantageous.
  • Ability to read isometrics, GA drawings and P&ID diagrams; knowledge of welding and NDE procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager with day-to-day project planning, coordination, and QHSE interfacing.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor activities including scheduling, resources planning, quality management and cost control.
  • Plan and execute installation, alignment, testing, and pre-commissioning of mechanical equipment and piping.
  • Ensure all works comply with project specs, approved drawings and codes (ASME B31.3, API, SS).
  • Prepare or review Method Statements or work procedures for construction works.
  • Monitor daily progress, quality, and productivity; submit progress reports.
  • Resolve site engineering issues with design office, vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Enforce safety rules and PTW compliance per HKOSH Ordinance.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Structural, E&I for seamless interface management.
  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and equipment vendors.

Project Engineer / Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)

Role Overview

We seek a competent and safety-focused Mechanical & Piping Engineer to ensure the flawless field execution of mechanical and piping systems for major power stations in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and supervisory skills, with experience in coordinating complex construction activities in a live plant environment. Experience in planning or supervising Piping and Mechanical work in process industries, advantageous in high pressure gas related or Power Plant industries.

Requirements
  • Qualifications / Education & Certificates:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on site filed experience in mechanical and piping construction within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related process industries.
  • Proven experience working on natural gas projects (e.g., pipelines, meter stations, terminals, processing facilities) is highly preferred.
  • Robust understanding of construction sequencing, heavy equipment handling, and interface management.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong’s Occupational Safety and Health Regulations is advantageous.
  • Proficient in mechanical/piping design codes (ASME, API).
  • Competent in reading isometric, general arrangement, and P&ID drawings.
  • Understanding of welding, NDE methods, and pressure testing procedures.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
  • Good command of spoken Cantonese, and written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager for day to day project planning & coordination, resource planning & coordination, and planning & coordination work with QHSE team.
  • Sub-contractor works coordination and management inclusive schedule control, resources planning, quality management and cost control.
  • Planning & execution of installation, alignment, testing, and pre-commissioning of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, tanks) and piping works.
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with project specifications, approved drawings (P&IDs, Isometrics, GAs), and relevant codes (ASME B31.3, API, SS).
  • Prepare or review Method Statements or work procedures for the construction works..
  • Monitor daily work progress, quality, and productivity of sub-contractors.
  • Prepare and submit Daily / Weekly / Monthly progress reports.
  • Resolve technical and engineering issues at the site level in coordination with the design office, vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Enforce strict adherence to site safety rules, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and Hong Kong’s Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance.
  • Coordinate effectively with other construction disciplines (Civil, Structural, E&I) to ensure seamless workflow and interface management.
  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and equipment vendors.
