Job summary

ROTARY-THAI CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to support the Project Manager in planning, cost control, monitoring and coordination across disciplines. You will review drawings, assess vendor data and address procurement issues to meet progress and budget targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of petrochemical construction experience, strong collaboration with engineering and site teams, and a focus on safety and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas petrochemical construction.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, project controls and construction workflows.

Responsibilities

• Project co-ordination with Client, Engineering Department, vendors, subcontractors and Procurement.
• Coordinate with site construction team for installation, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare project plans, progress reports and claims.
• Interpret construction and technical drawings.
• Evaluate vendor quotations on technical and commercial aspects.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for installation works.
• Plan monthly work schedules and set productivity targets.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution.
• Implement risk controls and prevent non-conformities.
• Supervise site activities and ensure safe execution within deadlines.
• Apply permit-to-work and manage HSE compliance.

Description

To assist the Project Manager in Project planning, cost control, monitoring, coordination, engineering and design reviews, risks assessments, vendor data, procurement related issues, coordination with discipline engineers and other contractors / vendors to meet the progress and budget.

Responsibilities

• Project co-ordination with Client, Engineering Department, business units, vendors, subcontractors and Procurement Department for all project activities.
• Co-ordinate with the site construction team for Installation, Testing and commissioning works.
• Project Planning, Progress Reports and Claims.
• Interpret Construction and Technical Drawings.
• Evaluation of vendor quotation on Technical and Commercial aspects.
• Preparation of Method of Statement, Risk Assessments for various installation works.
• Plan monthly work schedule and set productivity to be achieved.
• To monitor the progress of projects.
• To initiate and undertake action to prevent the occurrence of non- conformity.
• Oversees site activities and ensure safe execution of all activities within timeline.
• Apply permit to work and ensure implementation of risk management and control measure according to approved documents.
• Scheduled the project according to production flow procedures, budgets and schedule required to meet deadlines.
• To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.

Requirements

• Preferably Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Oil and Gas petrochemical construction industry
• Extensive knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls and Construction work processes.
• Able to do simple AutoCAD Drawings
• Candidates with tankage experience have an added advantage
