Job Summary
Our client seeks a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate prototype builds, ensuring alignment of materials, tooling, engineering changes, and manufacturing readiness to meet project milestones and customer schedules.
Responsibilities
- Plan and track prototype build schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion
- Coordinate readiness of materials, BOMs, tooling, engineering changes, and production processes to support prototype builds
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Planning, and factory teams to align cross-functional activities
- Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective and recovery actions to maintain project progress
- Monitor build progress and provide regular, clear project status updates to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate project documentation, issue logs, action trackers, and change records for traceability
- Support prototype reviews, post-build activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or higher in Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in PCB/electronics manufacturing, NPI, prototype development, or manufacturing engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in prototype builds and NPI projects
- Knowledge of BOM management, engineering changes, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
