Job summary

Universal (Far East) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. You will help define scope, align with client needs, and monitor schedules, budgets, and work plans using project management tools.

You will review technical drawings, contribute to design reviews, assist in quality control at sites, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and prepare documentation and progress reports to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and project risks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Ensure alignment with client requirements and business goals.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and work plans, using project management tools to track progress and ensure timely completion.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure engineering quality and compliance.
• Provide technical input to the design process, working closely with design teams to address any engineering challenges.
• Support project manager in evaluating design changes, assessing their impact on project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site visits as needed to monitor project progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment meet quality requirements and project specifications.
• Assist in conducting quality control inspections, ensuring that installations align with engineering and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and technical documents.
• Provide regular updates to project managers on project progress, potential risks, and any adjustments needed to stay in track.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing material specifications and participating in vendor evaluations as necessary.
