Job summary

The Project Engineer at ABSOLUT POH TEO INVESTMENT HOLDING LLP will lead and coordinate project activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with the technical requirements for rail E&M systems in Singapore’s transit environment.

You will drive quality assurance through supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline.
• Relevant project management experience in coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M systems in Singapore transit environment.
• Experience coordinating with local transit stakeholders for A&A, system upgrading, or new system migrations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review project submissions (specifications, drawings, test procedures, method statements) for compliance.
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning; manage interface issues and handover.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure work aligns with requirements.
• Monitor schedules, update progress, and report milestones to meet project timeline.
• Attend meetings to ensure project delivery stays on track.
• Support team in delivering project work on time.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate project activities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements for rail E&M systems in Singapore’s transit environment. You will drive quality assurance through supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain project schedules.

Responsibilities:

The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not limited to the following:

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team on the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matter, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the working schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
• Attend project related meetings, coordination meetings and interfacing meetings to ensure project delivery is on track; and
• Support project team to manage project related work to ensure project is delivered based on project timeline.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised diploma/degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline;
• Relevant project management experience:At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system in Singapore transit environment; andRelevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations; andExperience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrade, relocation and system migration projects in transit environment would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review;
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently;
• Good collaboration and attitude to work with team members;
• Ability to cope with flexible working hours;
• Be expected to perform night work or work during engineering hours;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication skills in English; and
• Be expected to travel regularlly between office and sites.
