Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore seeks an Engineer for Installation, EMI and Mobility Rail to lead site teams on large-scale electrical and electronics installation projects in the West region. You will prepare installation drawings, coordinate with multiple contractors and ensure works meet schedule and safety standards.

The role requires 1–5 years of leadership experience, Diploma/NITEC in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, and willingness to work night shifts on brownfield railway

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1-5 years’ experience leading site engineers and subcontractors on large-scale electronics, electrical & mechanical installation projects.
• Willing to work night shifts for brownfield projects; railway installations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare installation cable route drawings for submission and implementation for subsystems (COMMS, ISCS, FCIS, MMS, SIG, PSD, AFC).
• Carry out installation design and supervise site works to meet requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil Wide Contractors and System Wide Contractors.
• Supervise installation subcontractors on cable support, laying, testing, and as-built drawings.
• Manage work progress to meet schedule, budget, quality, and MOM safety regulations.
• Provide daily manpower reports and participate in weekly progress meetings with LTA.
• Conduct site inspections and handover inspections with clients.

• Prepare installation cable route drawing for submission and implementation for the following subsystems:
  • Integrated Communications System (COMMS)
  • Integrated Supervisory Control System (ISCS)
  • Facility for Commercial Info-Communication Services (FCIS)
  • Maintenance Management System (MMS)
  • Signalling System (SIG)
  • Platform Screen Doors (PSD)
  • Automated Fair Collection System (AFC)
• Carry out installation design and supervision of site installation works to meet authorities & customer’s requirements.
• To coordinate with Civil Wide Contractors and System Wide Contractors
• Supervise a team of installation sub-contractor in carrying out cable support system installation, cable laying & testing, equipment installation & termination, progress report and update as-built drawings.
• Manage & Control of work progress and ensure installation works are completed within schedule, meet budget, meet quality standard and comply with MOM safety regulations.
• Daily Manpower Reporting & Attend Weekly / Bi-weekly progress meeting with LTA.
• Carry out site inspection & handover inspection with client.

Job Requirement

Job Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma/NITEC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering
• 1-5 years’ experience in leading a team of site engineers and sub-contractors’ skilled workers in execution large-scale electronics, electrical & mechanical installation
• Work experience in large scale project is preferred
• Willing and able to work at night for brown field project
• With installation experiences in railway industrial is preferred
• Use of AutoCAD or BIM would be an advantage
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office
• Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
