Responsibilities

• Handle the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports.
• Manage invoicing, payment vouchers, receipts, and supplier payments.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Perform monthly accounts closing and maintain proper accounting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain project costing reports, including project budgets, actual expenditure, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Track project revenue, material costs, labour costs, subcontractor expenses, and other project-related expenditures.
• Prepare project profitability reports and provide cost analysis to management.
• Monitor project progress claims, invoices, retention sums, and payments received.
• Coordinate with project managers to obtain project cost information and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Maintain proper records of project expenses, purchase orders, supplier invoices, and subcontractor claims.
• Highlight potential cost overruns and financialrisks to management.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of GST returns.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for annual audits and tax computations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and other relevant parties.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company financial procedures.
• Maintain an organised filing system for financial and project-related documents.
• Support management with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
