Job summary

SAM ALUMINIUM ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a capable Project Coordinator to oversee marine aluminium shipbuilding initiatives. You will coordinate drawings, materials, fabrication, installation, and site activities while ensuring schedules, quality, and safety requirements are met.

The role requires marine engineering experience and the ability to liaise with clients, shipyards, and suppliers, coordinating across departments to resolve issues and maintain progress.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry.
  • Possession of SSSC/SRM certification is an added advantage.
  • Experience in marine aluminium shipbuilding, QA & QC, fabrication, or marine engineering is a plus.
  • Good understanding of aluminium fabrication, welding, marine systems, and shipbuilding processes.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Good project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different parties.

  • Coordinate marine aluminium shipbuilding projects and ensure timely completion according to project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, shipyards, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Coordinate engineering drawings, material requirements, fabrication, installation, and site activities.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and delivery schedules.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Support verification that proposed equipment complies with technical specifications and Class requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Attend VSCC & project meetings and prepare progress updates and reports.
  • Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
