Job summary

SINCHEN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Engineer to manage project coordination and delivery from award to handover, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget, and quality adherence.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site access, maintain records, and provide regular progress updates to clients and management. Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Engineering and have at least three years' experience in

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum three years' experience as Project Coordinator/Engineer/Estimator in renovation, fit-out, M&E or construction.
• Ability to prepare quotations and coordinate subcontractors independently.
• Ability to interpret scopes and drawings with knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring.
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing installation standards.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence; own vehicle preferred.
• Strong organisational skills; manage multiple projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable via email/WhatsApp.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Engineer to manage project coordination and delivery. Reporting and working closely with the Project Manager, the successful candidate will oversee projects from award to handover, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor project schedules from award to handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries and site access to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct quality control inspections on all projects in accordance with company checklists, and ensure all defects are rectified prior to handover.
• Identify, document and price variation orders on site, and obtain client approval before works proceed.
• Support the preparation of quotations and RFQs for commercial projects, including subcontractor and supplier costing.
• Maintain accurate project records, including site photographs, progress reports, variation orders and handover documentation.
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building or Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer or Estimator in renovation, fit-out, M&E or construction.
• Proven ability to prepare quotations and coordinate subcontractors independently.
• Ability to interpret scopes of work and drawings, with sound knowledge of key trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and flooring.
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing installation standards and renovation workmanship standards.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence is required. Candidates with their own vehicle will be preferred.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), and comfortable coordinating via email and WhatsApp.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quantity take-off or cost estimating.
• Relevant WSH or site supervision certifications.
• Experience in commercial fit-out projects such as retail, F&B, office or cleanroom.
