Job summary

Methodist Welfare Services in Singapore is seeking a proactive professional to facilitate the FFLC programme suite, delivering evidence-based Marriage and Parenting services and collaborating with the Manager to meet performance targets.

You will conduct research via focus groups and surveys, prepare monthly reports, supervise SWAs/PCs, and help mobilize volunteers and stakeholders across schools and community sites, with travel between locations required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Sociology, with 1-2 years of programming experience preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue MSF Certification as a Family Life Educator.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate MSF FFLC programmes and services independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure quality service delivery and KPI achievement.
  • Review evaluations and feedback in team meetings for continuous service improvement.
  • Maintain administrative documentation for monthly reporting and annual data verification.
  • Undertake focused research via group discussions and online surveys to inform programme development.
  • Develop community programmes mobilising volunteers and stakeholders for schools in clusters.
  • Supervise SWAs/PCs and coordinate proper referrals for wrap-around care.

Job description

  • To work independently and be part of team to facilitate the execution of MSF’s endorsed FFLC suite of programmes and services such as evidence-based/informed Marriage and Parenting programmes.
  • To work closely with Manager to ensure quality service delivery to meet MSF’s target key performance indicators.
  • To ensure evaluations and feedback are regularly reviewed and highlighted during team meetings for achievement of MSF’s service targets and continuous improvement of services.
  • To upkeep administrative documentation needed by the programmes for monthly reporting and annual data verification process.
  • As representatives, to uphold the values of MWS and the profession through speech, behavior and the written word.
  • To undertake research through focused group discussions, online surveys and evaluation forms collation and analysis to develop MWS brand of FFLC programmes and services based on the needs of the service users within HSS region.
  • To develop relevant supporting programmes mobilizing volunteers and key stakeholders to cater to the needs of the schools within specific clusters such as parent support groups on regular basis.
  • To support and supervise the work of the SWAs/PCs in carrying out their respective duties, roles and responsibilities.
  • To network and facilitate proper referrals and link up for service users who would need additional services to address family issues to ensure proper wrap-around care intervention and development of a nurturing care ecosystem within HSS region.
  • Travelling between schools and community sites will be required
  • Likely to be hot-desking
  • Telecommuting under prevailing guidelines set by MOH, MOM, MSF
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Manager of FFLC & Group Director – Family Services.

Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Sociology or related disciplines and with 1-2 years of programming work experience in social service would be preferred.
  • Readiness to take on clinical track in due time to be a MSF Certified Family Life Educator with the fulfillment of the stipulated requirements.
