Job summary

  • Familiarity with translation management scope is crucial.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in project performance management through extensive industry experience.
  • Competent in talent management design and deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and ability to work under tight timelines and grantor criteria.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possesses international experience and regional contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and matchmake stakeholders across startups, academia, and industry towards Talent Management.
  • Oversee financial stewardship and budget allocation for all projects, ensuring efficient use of funds.
  • Monitor Talent management events performance, milestones, risk management, and reporting.
  • Drive Talent Management team goals by identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Talent management team, defining roles and development.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of matched talents within funded projects with CRPO's mission.
  • Collaborate across verticals to ensure smooth operation and achievement of KPI.

Job description

The CyberSG R&D Programme Office (CRPO) is a new national centre at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. CRPO will focus its efforts on three main thrusts to advance cybersecurity comprehensively: cutting-edge research and development, advancements in technology and translational development, and fostering ecosystem/industry growth and training.

CRPO aspires to propel Singapore to the forefront of cybersecurity innovation and implementation, fueled by funding from the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore (CSA). This financial backing empowers CRPO to finance visionary projects proposed by diverse entities, including research institutes (RIs), institutions of higher learning (IHLs), and industries. The scope of these initiatives spans the entire Technology Readiness Level (TRL) spectrum, from nascent concepts at TRL 1 to advanced, field-tested solutions at TRL 9, all within the dynamic realm of cybersecurity.

  • Oversee financial stewardship and budget allocation for all projects, ensuring efficient and accountable use of funds, adherence to cost guidelines, and alignment with institutional policies.
  • Monitor Talent management events performance, including milestones, deliverables, risk management, and reporting, to ensure projects achieve high-impact outcomes in cybersecurity talents and events.
  • Drive Talent Management team goals by identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and integrating lessons learned from past projects to strengthen effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Talent management team, ensuring clarity of roles, professional development, and effective coordination
  • Ensure strategic alignment of matching talents within funded projects with CRPO's mission to build Singapore's national cybersecurity capabilities and foster innovation
  • Collaborate and render support across verticals to ensure smooth operation and achieving KPI
Job Requirements
  • Minimum requirement is bachelor's degree qualification in talent management, entrepreneurship, business management or related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Director's role with hands-on experience in similar responsibilities and scope is necessary
  • Familiarity with required scope in translation management is crucial
  • Good written and oral communication skills (necessary)
  • Proficiency in project performance management is crucial and acquired through minimum 10 years industry and practical training (on the job)
  • Competent in talent management design and deployment is necessary
  • Interpersonal skill as competent team leader with ability to work under tight timelines and develop solutions within Grantor's criterion
  • Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Possesses international experience, with a strong network of contacts in the region.
