Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Manager to lead the AI enablement initiative for our chip development process. You will be the core driver to integrate AI technologies and tools into the entire chip development workflow, bridging the gap between AI innovation and chip R&D practice. Your mission is to build an AI-based chip development process, develop relevant AI tools and skills, import the AI based chip development tools and processes from the cooperate engineering enablement team to our R&D team, and promote their adoption among every R&D engineer, ultimately improving R&D efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of AI-enabled chip development processes, aligning with the company’s chip product strategy and R&D goals.
  • Research, evaluate, and develop AI tools, models, and skills tailored to chip development scenarios (e.g., design automation, simulation optimization, fault detection, performance prediction).
  • Collaborate closely with the cooperate engineering enablement team to import and localize AI chip development tools and processes, ensuring seamless integration with the existing R&D system and workflow.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive promotion and training plan to drive the adoption of AI tools and processes among all R&D engineers, including conducting training sessions, creating user guides, and providing on-site support.
  • Monitor the usage and effectiveness of AI tools and processes, collect feedback from R&D teams, and continuously optimize and iterate to meet evolving business and technical needs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (R&D, AI, product, etc.) to remove obstacles, ensure project milestones are met, and maintain effective communication across all stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI technology and chip development, identify opportunities to leverage new AI capabilities to further enhance the chip development process.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field; 3+ years of program management experience in chip R&D or AI enablement, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional projects.
  • Deep familiarity and genuine passion for AI technologies and tools (e.g., machine learning, deep learning, large language models, AI automation tools), with hands‑on experience in applying AI to technical workflows preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entire chip development process, including chip design, verification, simulation, tape‑out, and mass production; experience in chip R&D or related fields is a must.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder management; ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solution‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in developing or implementing AI tools for chip design, verification, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with chip design tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) and AI platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in promoting new tools/processes within R&D teams and driving organizational change.
  • Background in both AI and chip R&D, with the ability to bridge technical gaps between the two domains.
