Job summary

BD is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support daily operations at our Tuas plant in Singapore. You will operate machine/process units, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role offers permanent day or night shifts with island-wide transport, shift allowances, OT, AWS, VB, meals, and more, providing a stable pathway for growth within a global medical technology leader.

Qualifications

• Must have a basic academic qualification in any field (Sec/ O-Levels/ SPM/ NITEC/ Diploma).
• Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Willingness to work permanent day or night shifts and stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine/process units as assigned to support daily production targets.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to meet quality and output specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities (Cleaning, Service, Replace).
• Record machine/process parameters accurately and take corrective actions when needed.
• Conduct sampling inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Assist Team Leader with changes and projects, ensuring EHS, quality, cost and schedule adherence.
• Update MES data accurately (shift output, waste, downtime).
• Handle material packing/unpacking and loading/unloading as required.
• Perform visual inspections using the scope.

Job Description

Supporting daily manufacturing operations, maintenance & troubleshooting. Can choose either permanent day or permanent night shift, island-wide transport, shift allowances, OT, AWS, VB, meals and more!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Operate on machine/process units as assigned.
• Perform troubleshooting for machine/equipment failures to meet production targets and quality standards and/or specifications.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (Cleaning, Service, Replace)
• While operating on the machine to perform tasks, always check and record the machine or process parameters and take containment and corrective actions if necessary, to ensure that the machine or process is under control.
• Sampling inspection of parts as per the Quality plan to ensure that the products are within specifications. If out of specification, handle the disposition of non-conforming products as and when required by the Quality plan.
• Support Team Leader to execute changes and projects within the production area and ensure compliance with EHS requirements, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Accuracy in the update of machine MES satellite e.g. corrects component lot numbers, accurate shift output, waste, and downtime.
• Manage Material handling activities which include packing/unpacking, and loading/unloading.
• Perform the visual inspection using the scope.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Candidate must possess at least Secondary School/“O” Level/ SPM/ NITEC/ Diploma in any field.
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore.
• Able to work in a manufacturing cleanroom or non-cleanroom environment.
• Able to perform permanent Day OR Night shift.
• Able to stand for long hours.
• Able to perform loading and unloading of 10-20kg materials.
