Job summary

Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Production Technician 1 to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment for high-quality medical devices in a cleanroom environment.

You will ensure safety and quality standards are met while maintaining production records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in manufacturing and can read technical drawings, with a focus on detail, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience in medical devices or pharma preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and wear PPE.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions; escalate complex issues.
• Prepare and set up materials for production runs.

Job Summary

As a Production Technician 1 at Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd., you will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality medical devices, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality checks and inspections, documenting results accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
• Prepare and set up materials and components for production runs.
• Complete production records, batch records, and other relevant documentation diligently.
• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field (e.g., Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology).
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
